In ulfillin its commitment to sustaina le development, the Ban is party to the recent nited ations Environment Pro ramme inance Initiative EP I on Environment and Sustaina le Development, as part o its commitment to implement interventions that positively impact the lives o the communities where we operate.
Durin the year, our Ban constantly undertoo a variety o sustaina ility related activities aimed at creatin innovative and proactive solutions to societal and environmental challen es. In the Ban ’s demonstration o economic empowerment, it has em ar ed on various pro ects that have positively impacted on the triple ottom line. Access Ban has success ully acilitated and financed sustaina le economic rowth, leadin the way on financial inclusion and education, helpin develop enterprises and ein at the ore ront o thou ht leadership. he Ban has also developed innovative financial services, such as the I E B3 A pro ect with Savin s at the rontier Sat , a oint pro ramme y asterCard oundation and Ox ord Policy ana ement td OP , which is today improvin lives and providin economic empowerment to women across Ghana.

Consistent with raisin consciousness on sustaina ility issues and deli erately pursuin ehavioural chan e, our Ban mar ed the Sustaina ility Awareness ee SA or the 2nd year runnin to continue educatin , inculcatin and encoura in reen ehaviour amon staff. he wee lon cele ration included activities such as

mana ement and waste recyclin .
Over the years, SA has ecome an avenue to remind staff o the Ban ’s commitment to responsi le an in and the role they play in achievin these oals.
Community Investment
As a catalyst or Ghana’s socio economic development, the continuous existence and empowerment o our communities is central to our an in usiness. In achievin this oal, we stren then our participation in community development throu h strate ic partnerships and our award winnin employee volunteerin pro ramme, which turns 10 this year.
• In 2019, the Ban levera ed on its over 1,000 employee volunteers to activate the second phase o its ist A ainst istula campai n aimed at raisin awareness and advocatin or the eradication o the fistula menace in Ghana. Supported y several partners includin the nited ations Populations und PA , the ational as orce on O stetric istula under the inistry o ealth, inistry o Gender and Social Protection, the first ever istula wal athon in the country was hosted y the Ban . he wal athon was held across the country with a success ul raise o more than G S 230,000 to finance additional fistula repairs.
